This is a lovely old white ironstone sugar bowl. It is very basic and simple with just a touch of gold gilding on the rim of the lid and around the top of the bowl. It is in fair condition for an item that is over 100 years old and served many utilitarian purposes. It has a small chip on the rim of the lid and one small chip on the inside of the rim. The handle on one side was broken and repaired at some point. There is no manufacturer's mark, but the number 12 is impressed on the bottom. There is wear on the gold gilding especially on the lid. It dates to around the late 1890's.
It measures approximately 6 ½" in diameter and 6 ¾" high to the top of the finial.
