This is a lovely antique Aesthetic Movement brown transferware platter by Henry Alcock & Co. in the Exeter pattern. It measures approximately 12” in length and 8 ¾” in width. It is marked on the back “Exeter, Semi-Porcelain, Henry Alcock & Co., England, R. #149551”. There is also an impress mark. The plate has scalloped edges and a floral border. It has a center scene of leaves and flowers. The platter dates to around 1890. The condition of the plate is fairly good. There are knife marks and about five small brown spots on the front of the platter. There is slight staining on the back of the plate. There are no chips or cracks.
