18th Century Chinese Export Teapot Hand Painted Flowers

This is a wonderful antique Chinese export teapot with an old staple repair on the handle telling us how cherished this piece of porcelain was to its owner. The flowers are hand painted in colors of magenta and purple with green leaves. The porcelain has a grayish tinge to it. The finial is gilded. There are traces of gold gilding on the handle also. There are the remains of an old paper label on the bottom.

The teapot measures approximately 10" from handle to spout, 5" in diameter and 6 ¾" in height.

There is an old staple repair to the handle and other old restoration work done on the handle as well as a hairline crack on the body of the teapot near the handle.
