This is a lovely old stick painted pitcher. I believe it is of German origin and dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is all hand painted in the traditional stick painted style. The base color of the pitcher is a golden yellow and it is decorated with lines, sponged circles and dots in brownish red and medium blue. It is impressed marked feuerfest 2 on the bottom. It is in very used condition. It has a chunk out of the bottom of the pitcher, but is still very usable. It shows the years of accumulation of dirt on the bottom and into the glaze. It measures approximately 5 3/4" high and 6" in diameter.
