Early Metal Sugar Tin or Canister with Stenciling from Maine Stagecoach Stop

This is a wonderful old metal sugar canister or tin. It is painted brown with gold stenciling on it. It came from an old stagecoach stop on Route 3 across from Lake St. George outside of Augusta, Maine. It has considerable paint loss and the latch was broken at some point in time. It measures approximately 9 3/4" in diameter and 9 1/2" high.
