This is a lovely, good quality nicely detailed Goldscheider ceramic figurine of a Dutch girl bowing slightly, holding up her skirt and ready to dance. She is wearing a light blue cap, a light blue dress with a rose pink bodice that has a white lace like collar. The blue dress is draped and has small circular floral like detail on it. She has an apron over the dress that has a pocket with blue banding and rose colored x's on it. At the bottom of the apron are two blue bands one is darker than the other. Above those bands are more rose colored x's and there is a long blue bow on the back. She is wearing brown clogs. She has dark blond hair, blue eyes and a very demure expression on her face. She is one of a pair of figurines. She has a male dancing partner, but we listed them separately because there is damage to her male partner.
There are two makers marks, one is clearly marked Goldcrest Ceramic Corp. The other is blurred. There is a copyright mark and it is signed Dutch Dance by Gloria Drew. It is numbered 1188 8.
