This mood bead necklace is truly a blast from the past--the beads are new, but the mood is pure 1960's. Color-changing mirage mood beads in an intricate pattern of paisley whorls form the foundation of the necklace. The colors range from blue to lavender to bright green depending on the temperature. I separated the mood beads with blue sodalite beads and blue Czech fire-polished beads as well as silver plated saucer beads and daisy spacers. The fire-polished beads and sodalite beads with their swirling calcite inclusions compliment the mood beads. A sun and moon toggle clasp completes the design.
The necklace measures 21 inches in length. The mirage mood beads are made of resin, and the sodalite is a natural gemstone. Sodalite is actually related to its more famous cousin, lapis lazuli. Traditionally sodalite is thought to bring inner peace and harmony. The combination of these two elements sounds a bit like the dawning of the age of Aquarius. Imagine walking down the street wearing a green mood bead necklace, then stepping inside to dance up a storm with the beads changing color as you warm up. Like I said, pure 1960's, and too much fun to miss!
Please Note: The necklaces I create are my own designs. The sodalite beads I used to create this necklace are genuine and natural and as such there may be anomalies in shape, size, and color.
