Spectacular Turquoise Necklace with Ornate Silver Longhorn Pendant and Matching Earrings

The necklace itself demonstrates the beauty of simplicity and provides balance for the pendant. I chose genuine turquoise rondelles of a very nice quality and a lovely color for the basis of the necklace. The turquoise rondelles are separated by small hematite heishi beads which echo the black hue of the horns. Tiny sterling silver beads provide the seat for the pendant bail, and trios of tiny beads lead to the sterling silver hook closure to complete the design.

The earrings feature turquoise rondelles framed between sterling silver beads and hematite rondelles. The turquoise beads are suspended from flat hammered marquise earwires, and the earrings measure 1 ¼ inches from the piercing. The necklace measures 18 inches in length, and the pendant measures 2 ½ by 2 ¼ inches including the bail. The silver components are 925 silver. Turquoise has traditionally been considered a truth stone and is also believed to improve mental clarity.
