Beaded Purse circa 1880 - Needs TLC

What a lovely old beaded purse, and what a pity it lay forgotten so long! It was found in a box of old things on a Pennsylvania farm. When i picked it up, a few beads trickled down, so I carefully took all I could and put it in a plastic bag.

The purse is about 5" x 5". The frame is in nice condition with a pattern of leaves and flowers. The chain is a different metal and rusty. The beads are blue, pink, white and black, and there is soil (heavy dust) in some areas and 2 holes that I see that are losing beads. The areas are still small, and can be repaired by a person who knows what they are doing.

The interior is in remarkably good condition.

If you are able to conserve or repair the purse, this may be a worthwhile project for the coming year.
