Three Goss Stoneware Individual Baking Dishes

Three Goss individual baking dishes 4 1/2" across. They are in the Country Harvest pattern, made circa 1975. All three pieces are included in the price. The dishes are oven-friendly, and look as if they have never been used.

The pattern has a country design of fruit- apples, grapes and pears on a taupe or beige background. The finish is smooth matte rather than glossy, and blends well with primitive, country or early American decor. The pieces are in very good condition, barely used. They are from Pennsylvania farm country, and have been in storage for years.

I have other pieces in this pattern, and am always happy to combine orders to reduce shipping.

Goss Stoneware was made in Chatham NJ in the 1950's. In 1964, they became known as Chatham pottery. They moved their studio to Kansas, and finally closed in about 1980.

The Goss potters made functional stoneware with a rich, smooth taupe glaze. Their designs were hand painted. Many pieces are not marked, but had foil stickers which were easily lost. Goss and Chatham pieces are sought after because of their simple beauty and durability.
