Goss Stoneware Herb Skillet - Rosemary

Goss Stoneware herb skillet, 4 1/2" in diameter. Very good condition. Signed on bottom. Suitable for oven to table use, and has a hole in the handle to hang as a decoration.

According to the original sticker (not present), this piece is ovenproof with the design painted under the glaze.

I currently have 4 different herb skillets. I am listing them separately, as you may only need 1 or 2 for your collection. I am very happy to combine orders to save on shipping.

Goss Stoneware was made in Chatham NJ in the 1950's. In 1964, they became known as Chatham pottery. They moved their studio to Kansas, and finally closed in about 1980.

The Goss potters made functional stoneware with a rich, smooth taupe glaze. Their designs were hand painted. Many pieces are not marked, but had foil stickers which were easily lost. Goss and Chatham pieces are sought after because of their simple beauty and durability.
