These lovely gloves are from a Southern estate. The gloves are a soft pink brushed cotton with the feel of suede.
The length of a glove is traditionally expressed in "buttons" an antique French unit of measure which is slightly longer than one inch. The 6-button glove is 12"-13" long and the gloves reach well up the forearm. This pair of gloves are the "gauntlet" type, gloves with flared arm pieces in the style of equestrian gauntlets. The term "button" is strictly for measurement here as there are no actual buttons on the gloves.
There is no maker tag or size, but these are for a small hand. Note in the picture, I wear a size 6 and these are pretty snug on my hand.
There are several light soiled spots that would clean up nicely, but will leave the cleaning to the buyer. There are no rips or tears and in very nice vintage condition.
