This late 50s vase is a recent Southern estate acquisition. Silver Crest was introduced in the early 1940s. Those pieces had a firey opal glow when the piece is held to light. Those produced after 1958, like this one, were made using the more dense milk glass formula and there is no opalescence.
This vase is the #1924 5" Double Crimped vase. It is actually less than 5" across and actual sizes varied on the crimped vases, some being more or less. It is 4" tall and 4 1/2" across the top. The crest is even and the vase has no issues. It is in excellent condition.
