Napoleon Empereur Faux Coin Earrings
These recently acquired stunning earrings feature faux French coins depicting Napoleon. The faux coins have the profile of Napoleon and the words Napoleon Empereur around the edge of the coin. The border is a slightly ruffled and scalloped open work edge adding quite a feminine touch to the faux coin. The base at first glance appears to be marcasites, but are actually silvertone beads in an ornate setting. The earrings clips have adjustable screw backs. The earrings are 2" long and the coin is 1 1/4" in diameter. I am finding it very difficult to part with these earrings ~ they look absolutely beautiful on and especially with an upswept hair style. You won't be disappointed! They are in excellent vintage condition.
