Circa 40s Fenton Blue Overlay 9" Jug ~ #192A
This lovely Blue Overlay Jug by Fenton was recently acquired from a Southern estate. It is Fenton's #192A jug featuring the transparent blue applied handle. The jug stands 9" tall and is approximately 4" across the body at the widest point. The top opening is 3 1/2" across.
Blue Overlay was produced from 1943~1953 by covering Milk Glass with blue transparent glass.
The melon shaped body of this jug is not to be confused with the "beaded melon" pieces that were produced later. There are no issues with this lovely blue jug. It is in excellent vintage condition and a hard-to-find piece that will delight Fenton collectors!
