This is a recent estate acquisition. I have not seen nor have I been able to find in research a piece of jewelry quite like this one. It is lightweight like aluminum and the open frame of the double tiered flower appear to be painted on the back with a translucent enamel or lucite in powder blue. The leaves are hand painted on top with a yellow green enamel. The brooch is 3" wide and 1 3/4" high. It has a 1" rise. It is signed Coro in script on the pin bar and is also signed Coro in script on a cartouche on the back of the leaves. The leaves and pin back appear to be Rhodium Plated. The center of the flower has a large Aurora Borealis rhinestone in a cylinder mounting. It is in excellent condition.
