HALF OFF SALE. Lorenzo Bergen is originally from the Dominican Republic. He grew up in New York and graduated from Music and Art. He moved to New Orleans at the young age of 19. His limited edition serigraphs (silkscreens) were done in the 70s through the 90s, but he no longer does this type of artwork due to exposure to solvents possibly causing health issues. This gorgeous serigraph is entitled "St. Charles Streetcar". The cameo style serigraph is a signed limited edition and dated piece. The actual viewing of the serigraph is 14" x 9 1/2", but the overall framed piece is 16 1/2" x 21"! It is beautifully double matted with hunter and olive green, almost identical to the colors used in the picture. After Hurricane Katrina the New Orleans streetcars were gone and I am not sure if any are back in operation. This is a wonderful piece from the famed St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans and is number 176 of 350 and dated 1977. The beveled frame is 2" deep in a pecan finish with gold painted highlights. This treasure is in excellent condition! NOTE: Shipping will be adjusted depending on destination.
