This original art is by Jose Ortega, Spanish artist. His history is very interesting (taped to the back of the artwork) and points to his becoming a protest artist. He spent ten years in Paris in exile. There, he was considered to be one of the major Spanish artists of his generation. From the 1980s, his work evolved to a more eclectic abstract style. He was also known to do figures.
This etching is framed with a linen mat. Very slight toning to the mat. Circa 1950s.
