This big Victorian pin is made of porcelain on a brass backing. The porcelain is hand-painted with green and lavender flowers along the left side. The porcelain has open space on the right side as these were often personalized to someone special and a name or term of endearment would be filled in. These porcelain pins were a form of Friendship / Sweetheart jewelry during the Victorian era.
The pin measures 1 7/8 by 2 3/8 inches. The brass back has the original ~C~ clasp which still works fine. There are no chips to the edges. Condition is excellent. Circa 1900.
