What's more fun than a mildly risque illustrated pop-up book? TWO of them! These innovative hardcover books 'for adults only' are from the early 1980s. They're filled with humorous, slightly naughty, pop-ups, pull-tabs and action mechanics that will definitely put a smile on your face. They're brilliantly illustrated in the style of the times they depict.
One book is titled THE ROARING TWENTIES (1984). It has 11 pages of delightful images with mechanical parts. The other book is titled THE NAUGHTY NINETIES (1982). It has 10 moving pages. One book is 'saucy'...the other is 'spicy'. They're both elaborately constructed with clever illustrations. The 1890s book is done in the style of Gibson by Borje Svensson and the same illustrator did the 1920s book in the Art Deco style.
The books measure 7 by 11.5 inches. Each book has a small inked inscription on first page...not a distraction. Published by Price/Stern/Sloan. Overall, the books are in excellent condition.
