Imagine it on your finger...or her finger. It doesn't get any lovelier than this vintage Art Deco era estate ring of 18k yellow gold and deep blue sparkling sapphires.
The setting is something different...square-shaped 18k yellow gold to frame the 16 channel-set round sapphires that are 2mm each. They surround the center 3mm sapphire twinkling from its gold filigree backdrop.
The sapphires are beautiful quality with natural nuances and excellent color. The ring has an estimated .50ctw. It weighs 5.5 grams.
The setting is solid 18k yellow gold. It's stamped 18K with a maker's mark that looks like JM. The gold has also been tested with jeweler's acid.
The ring is size 7 (can be re-sized by a jeweler). The top of the ring measures 1/2 inch each way. Under a strong magnifier we can see some slight nips to the center stone and a couple of the surrounding stones. These age-related flaws are not visible to the eye and the ring has been priced accordingly.
Overall, the ring is in fine vintage condition. The gold shows very slight wear and it shines brightly. As a cocktail ring, a promise or engagement ring, a 'happy birthday' ring...this is the one, for THE one.
