1907 Postcard Yakima Washington Indian Family Native American

Sitting for a portrait in 1907 was not the norm for a Native American family on the Yakima Indian Reservation. But this Indian family was photographed and give us a glimpse into this beautiful culture. The young mother, father and child are dressed in their finest handmade and woven attire.

The used card is postmarked 1907 from Selah Washington. It was printed in Germany and published by a local Yakima publisher. The line at upper left is not a crease...it's printed into the card. Just slight corner/edge wear but overall this early postcard is in excellent condition.
