Old Art Deco Era Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Vase - Stylized Flowers
The vase is impressed with CHINA on the bottom, a mark in use during the first half of the 20th century. This dense floral pattern motif in these colors was popular in the 1920s-1930s.
The vase measures 4 1/2 inches at the widest by 9 inches high. We were about to say that there are no signs of damage or loss to cloisonne but just felt a crackle as we ran our fingers over the vase. It's hard to see because the fleck of enamel is just off the surface and not down to the brass...see photo.
Overall, it's a beauty with its unusual 'moderne' design.
