Lehmann Tin Litho Wind-Up Turtle Toy w/ Black Baby - W. Germany in Box

Circa 1950s, this rare wind-up SUSI tin lithographed turtle toy is still mint in the box...just the way collectors like to find them. It was made by famous toy maker Lehmann in West Germany and has a clockwork mechanism.

You wind up the turtle and the hard plastic little black baby with a red baseball cap rides on top of the shell (there's a slot he goes in).

The turtle measures 5 inches long from nose to tail. He's about 4 inches high with the baby on the top.

The turtle moseys along as turtles do, working perfectly, clean as the day it was made. The box shows minimal storage wear...is overall excellent. The key is included. This is No. 827.

Finding an old Lehmann tin wind-up toy in this condition is the wish of every toy collector. And Susi makes the wish come true.
