Antique Victorian Porcelain Pin - Hand-Painted Roses

Those Victorian folks had such romantic sensibilities...or so it seems to us 100-plus years later. This pin, for example...someone sat and hand-painted those perfect pink and yellow roses on the porcelain. They set it onto a brass backing with the original 'C' clasp.

This was hand-made with care. These were often given as friendship gifts, sometimes with a name or year painted in the open space.

The pin measures 1 5/8 by 2 1/8 inches. The brass back has been left with the original unpolished patina as some collectors prefer it that way. Overall, this old pin is in lovely condition.
