This rare political pin was made for the 1968 presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy, who was then New York U.S. Senator.
The pin flickers from a photo portrait of RFK to the words... KENNEDY FOR A BETTER AMERICA. This flashing effect from one view to the other is created with a lenticular lens that covers the surface of the pin.
The pin measures 2 1/2 inches. It was made by Vari-Vue Pictorial Productions of Mt. Vernon, N.Y. who were known for their lenticular work. The company went out of business around 1980.
The pin is in excellent condition.
