21" Early FRENCH PAPIER-M"CHÉ c1850 LADY Original Glass Eyes HH Wig & Costume

Her lovely face has inset black glass eyes under painted brows exactly matching her wig, nice rosy cheeks and pink lips with a sweet smile; under the wig her head is painted black with brush-stroke wisps around the edges.

The correct pink kid body has gusset-joints at hips with shapely legs, and stitched joints at shoulders, kid body is sturdy and not leaking, it does have small very old conservation patching~ (pink faded from arms; kid patches at top of right arm and around waist, with a tiny patch at crotch & inner hip gussets). The pink tone kid leather bodies were made to represent flesh tone which is seldom found.

Gowned for a ball, the lady wears a fully-lined lovely early gown of finest net sprinkled with hand-stitched dots, many-layered scalloped pink tissue-silk decorating the bodice, and Battenberg lace hem; underneath is an vintage chemisette, petticoat, pantalets and finely-knit cotton stockings; this regal beauty comes from a non-smoking environment.
