3.75"x 4" 20th Century Match Holder-Striker Bird on Fence
A beautiful green and blue enameled bird perches ready for flight at one end of this fanciful cast metal match holder-striker. The bird is bronze, fence is white metal or steel, and the bucket for matches is of turned brass. A framed piece of sandpaper at the back facilitates striking the matches. The piece is 3.75" high, by 4" wide and 2" deep, and supports itself. Made in early 20th century, and in near-mint condition, this is a whimsical piece for desktop or coffee table use or the knick-knack shelf!
