19 ½" Emma E. Adams c1891 Cloth COLUMBIAN DOLL Original Paint, Early Clothing

Marine-blue eyes gently gaze on the world, with brown brows to match her swirling dry-brushed hair; there is shading around the eyes for dimension, bright rosy cheeks and the sweetest little smile touches her lips~ (some paint-flaking to hair in front, to hands, one toe & heels) also an old scratch on cheek looks as though it was touched up long ago.

Fingers and toes are indicated with stitching and stitched joints at shoulders, hips and knees.

Very rare and hard to find this doll is in remarkable condition for the age of these textiles, her floral-print dress and dainty bonnet are completely hand-stitched, chemise, petticoat and pantalets are a matched set, and she wears old marine-blue cotton knit socks to keep her toes warm; from a non-smoking environment..
