Absolutely adorable and in excellent condition, this 13" Alt, Beck & Gottschalk Parian Boy has always been dressed as a baby, he's circa 1880 and all-original.
His perfect white-bisque head has painted blue eyes, somewhat lowered lids with black & red lid-lines – as though he's sleepy, brown-glazed brows, round rosy cheeks and sweet kissable `cupid's bow' mouth; molded side-parted hair is glazed a gentle yellow; his head is 3 ½" high, 3 ½" across shoulders and 2 ¼" front-to-back with 6 ¾" head circumference.
Baby Boy is on his original cloth body with stitched joints at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and his teeny mitten-hands are kid leather!
We've not removed his under-clothes to protect them: wool knit under-shirt, fine cotton diaper and hand-crocheted wool booties. A long cotton petticoat and beautiful long gown trimmed in dainty bobbin-lace completes this endearing infant, from a non-smoking environment.
