The Wallace Sterling ROSE POINT pattern was patented in 1934 and this 31-piece set was apparently received as wedding presents circa 1950, from a personal or jewelers' regi1895stry list. Very few pieces of this Wallace Sterling flatware has ever been used as most of these pieces are still sealed in "WALLACE STERLING" plastic sleeves and in the original gift boxes neatly lettered with who gave what, from jewelers in Illinois, Nebraska, and Denver, CO. All pieces are marked "® WALLACE~ (elk-head hallmark) STERLING", and come from a non-smoking environment.
