9 ½" BOXED 1938 Patsyette Compo Doll From Movie Anne Shirley Heart Brac

Anne Shirley, the actress & movie character, Patsyette has big amber-brown painted eyes, black lid-lines & upper lashes, light-brown brows, rosy cheeks and tiny pursed mouth; she's jointed at neck, shoulders and hips. Carrot-red mohair wig has bangs and long braids still tied with blue satin bows to match her "Movie" costume: blue gingham-print pleated skirt with attached panty and white blouse, matching gingham jacket, round blue wool felt hat, rayon socks and cream ankle-tie leatherette shoes complete this endearing Patsyette.

The box shows its age but has been carefully kept intact over the years with cellophane tape. Box reads "A New Playmate" on the lid, "ANNE SHIRLEY" in a heart and "BLUE // AUBURN" stamped on the end. Hand-written on the bottom "I was 4 years old // I got this doll // Dec. 25, 1938", and she comes from a non-smoking home.
