9.75" Sterling ca.1870's Serving Fork Gold-Wash

A swirling design of intertwining repousse ferns decorates this definitely hand-cast and hand-finished 9 ¾” long Serving Fork, marked only “STERLING // G” (other marks may well have disappeared with use). The Serving Fork weighs 5.83 troy oz, and is in very excellent condition with gold-wash in & on the 1” deep-bowl fork end, which is 3" at the widest and 4 ½” long; no monogram. The handle is very solid and strong, and comes from the original family, non-smoking home.
