18” All-original Fancy molded Hair PARIAN c.1870s

This lovely Parian lady is in excellent all-original condition. She has intricately rolled café au lait deeply modeled hair with a blue band across the front, a long patrician nose, pierced ears, two sew-holes each side of shoulders, incised "18". Watery blue eyes with red black lid lines, café au lait brows, blushed cheeks and a tiny mouth gives her a quiet and somber countenance. This parian doll has no markings. Her cloth body is solidly stuffed with no leaks, stitch-jointed at shoulders, knees and hips so she sits well. Bisque lower arms are slightly mismatched but pleasing (two fingertips chipped on left hand underside so not conspicuous). The deep brown velvet coat has brown porcelain buttons down the front and blue wool lining. Her skirt matches with rows of brown ribbon beading. Underneath are a chemise, pantaloons and flannel petticoat.
