An endearing circa 1910 pouty boy, his perfect bisque solid dome shoulderhead is in mint condition with no damage and no repair, café au lait molded hair and indigo intaglio eyes. He's got a pleasant, somber yet alert expression on his sweet face with closed very pouty mouth. Head incised: "0 // (sun mark) // Germany // 7848", plus blurred green ink stamp. Lovely intaglio eyes have molded lids with a thin dark line along the upper lid and no lashes. Single-stroke eyebrows, a cute little nose, and closed mouth between very full rosy cheeks fill out his face. Chubby early composition hands are on an old replacement squishy cloth body, which is nicely made and perfectly scaled for this charming little guy. Dressed as a schoolboy in pink chambray sailor shirt with linen eyelet trim and matching knickers, his shoes are black leatherette ankle-ties & stockings are cream cotton knit.
