Maker and Age: Moser (Bohemian); 1880s
Details: This gorgeous piece features the elaborate gold gilt hand enameled pattern including flowers and scrolls combined with the optic ribbed glass which creates an especially sparkling quality in the apple-green glass. The rim is ground and polished and enhanced with gold gilt. This may have been used as a cylinder vase or more likely as a straw holder. Such fancy open straw holders were often seen on tables of the street cafes of 19th Century Europe. Judging from the beautiful condition of the glass and enameling one could conclude that it experienced very little use in any capacity.
Dimensions: 10 inches high X a little over 4 inches in diameter
Condition: Excellent! The clarity of the glass is outstanding. Some of the gild gilt is missing from the rim edge, otherwise the enameling remains in wonderful condition.
Shipping: The straw holder will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
