Maker and Age: Harrach (Bohemian); late 1800s
Details: A very nice hand blown Harrach white opaline glass vase with an enameled outside surface in light blue. It features two platinum covered reeded and applied handles and many hand enameled flowers, buds and leaves. (To get a silver color for decorating art glass, platinum was often used by 19th Century Bohemian glass makers instead of silver to avoid tarnishing.) The flowers are in pink and white with yellow centers and cinnamon colored leaves, all outlined with raised gold gilt enameling. The rim is ground and polished and "2." is enameled on the bottom of the vase.
Dimensions: 9.5 inches high X 4.25 inch diameter; 5.5 inches across the handles
Condition: Excellent; The gold gilt and platinum enameling shows only the lightest of wear.
Shipping: The vase will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
