Vintage Green & Cream Art Ware Pottery Art Deco Rose Bowl

Here for your consideration is a vintage green and cream art ware pottery art deco rose bowl, c.1930's. The bowl has a high gloss over-glaze, cream color interior, lime green exterior decorated with a geometric design of lines and fleur-de-lis, a stylized lily along the upper body of the bowl. It is marked on the bottom with the numbers 781 [incised, under glaze], in very good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. There is a brown-yellowish ring on a portion of one side along the upper interior bowl [you will need to tilt the bowl to see], pot-holes and streaking in the exterior glaze and heavy crazing throughout the piece.

I must say, which I try to refrain from making any comments on how I feel oppose to what the buyer may see in the piece, that any organic characteristics or age related condition issues that this piece has does not distract from the beauty of this wonderful example of the Arts and Crafts Movement [1860-1910 and continued to influence the arts until the 1930s.] SEE PHOTOS FOR DETAILS.

MEASUREMENT: 5" D x 2 5/8" H [approx.].

I attribute this piece to Red Wing Pottery or Rumrill Pottery or California Potteries, ie. Haeger, Royal Haeger, Metlox or Vohann, which used stilts for glazing pottery and the bottom would be completely glazed with three small marks for the stilts.
