Here for your consideration is a vintage Deruta, Italy majolica pottery Girolamo Luxardo Maraschino liqueur decanter bottle, c. 1969. The bottle has its original numbered paper liquor seal and cork, two foil paper labels that read: (1) IMPORTED BY AMERICAN BEVERAGE BROKERS, SAN FRANCISCO, CAL., Import Licence CALIF.- 1-1025 [green and gold and (2) LUXARDO MARASCHINO, PRODUCT OF ITALY- 80 PROOF. 1 U.S. PINT, IMPORTED BY AMERICAN BEVERAGE BROKERS S. FRANCISCO- CAL., IMPORT PERMIT: CALIF - 1-1025 that is embellished with a figural Luxardo liqueur bottle. This is a wonderful example of Folk Art ceramics, hand painted with bright colors of blue, rust, yellow, moss green, black stencil tracery throughout the floral design, along with the black type-set letters "ALOE" nestled in the center of this baluster shaped bottle. It is marked on the bottom: MADE IN ITALY FOR LUXARDO 1969, in good condition with no cracks, visible crazing or repairs. The bottle is empty of its content and will need to be cleaned by its new owner if they desire. I have only gently cleaned the exterior and have not disturbed the interior [smells of its original content]. There are several small chips along the edge of its circular rim and one on the lip of the bottle. SEE PHOTOS FOR DETAILS.
MEASUREMENT: 4" D x 8" H [w/o cork stopper], approx. size.
