Here for your consideration is a Red Wing Potteries hand painted "Southwest" bean pot cookie jar, c. 1930's-1940's. There is a great possibility that this was painted after it left the factory. I was not able to find many Red Wing Pottery bean pot/cookie jars that were decorated with cold paint. I love this piece because it will appeal to many collectors, ie. southwest themes, folk art, stoneware pottery, etc.
It is unmarked, yellow stoneware body, brown over glaze, hand painted with a southwest motif, minimal paint loss, interior bowl is clean, no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs, with the exception of a small chip along the edge inside the lid. SEE PHOTOS FOR DETAILS.
MEASUREMENT: 9" W x 8 1/4" H.
