Vintage English Sterling Silver Toast-Rack-on-Stand by Asprey & Company
An unusual sterling silver toast-rack-on-stand with ebony handle and sliverplate burner marked Asprey. Hallmarked Birmingham 1924. Maker Asprey & Company. Height to handle 7 5/8 inches; length 5 ¾ inches; width 3 ¾ inches. Weight 363 grams. Condition. One screw has been changed and the aluminum plate on the stand used to diffuse heat from the burner is missing, but it can be easily replaced with a cut piece of aluminum.
