An invalid dish in the blue & white Columbia pattern has a diameter of 10 ½ inches, and stands 2 inches high. Made by William Adams & Son, the dish is circa 1850 (Godden #26: Petra Williams, p. 237). What appears as a spot on the surface is an opening where hot water was poured into the body to keep food warm. Condition: See photos for a chip on the underside of rim.
