Signed on a brass plate, "Quaint by Stickley Bros.," this all original library table or writing desk dates from about 1905, during the Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period.
The original varnish is worn and stained with warm antique patina, there are mars and dings especially at the edges, see photos.
Outstanding "Craftsman" quality is shown by splined joints in the top, joints with wooden pegs and mortise joints, all in solid quarter sawn oak.
The wide drawer is dovetailed on this historic furniture which measures 44" wide, 28" deep, 30" tall and legroom is 24 1/2" underneath.
