These glass spice jars with tin lid were made early 1900s for the Hoosier style cabinets (Hoosier, Sellers, Napanee, Wilson, McDougall, Boone). Style was called Traditional Mission. Front of jar has a blank banner space for applying a spice label.
Glass is in very good condition, clear and bright, with no cloudiness. One has roughness around the rim on the inside edge and in a small section on the shoulder where the cap sits, which appear to be from manufacturing. The other has a very tiny chip on the shoulder, but is hidden by the cap. Screw on metal lids are in good condition, with small dents. These have the plain, non-shaker, covers.
Jars measure 4 3/8 inches high and 2 1/8 inches wide.
