Vintage Hoosier Cabinet Wire Cookbook Holder

We are offering this vintage wire cookbook holder. This shaped wire holder was screwed to a wooden shelf on the upper inside center door, and has a spring-type action to securely hold a cookbook. It was used on many of the Hoosier style cabinets circa 1910-1920.

This handy little device allowed the baker of the household to have her cookbook open to her recipe, easily viewed, and well out of reach of wayward specks of flying dough mixtures.

Wire holder measures 8 1/2 inches wide and 4 7/8 inches high.

Overall in excellent condition, with only very tiny bit of rust in spots.
