This pair of tin pewter fihish wall sconces were handcrafted by a N.C. western artist for the 1976 bicentennial. They were reproduced from a very old design which was intended to reflect the light. I purchased these from a local estate in Raleigh, N.C. These are candle lit only and have glass globes that fit into the cannisters in front of the tin circle. The circle at back is 8" and these sconces are approx 15" high. Wonderful primitive motif. Because of the light reflection they appear brass or bronze but that is only the photo. They are tin all over.
