Grosse German Wide Decorative Mesh Bracelet, c. 1966
This Gold plated bracelet was made in Germany by Grosse. That jewelry company began making jewelry in 1907. Before World War II, the Grosse jewelry company made many jewelry pieces for Lanvin and Schiaparelli. Starting in 1955, they started making four collections a year for Christian Dior. Most of their pieces, like this one, were gold plated. I confirmed the plating on this bracelet to be 10KT, using an acid test. This particular bracelet made in 1966, is made of a decorative mesh and has a large box clasp that is very secure. The band is 7/8 inch wide. The bracelet is 7 1/4 inches long. It is marked by the maker and has the year on the clasp. It is in excellent vintage condition.
