Mid Century Modern Blenko Horn Vase Designed by Winslow Anderson prior to 1953

This mid century modern piece is called a Horn Vase, made by the Blenko glass company. The designer was Winslow Anderson, who was the design director for Blenko from 1947 until 1953. All of the 900 series items were designed by Winslow Anderson. This Horn Vase is design number 964. It is one of the longer sizes, measuring 20 1/2 inches long. The blue color you see in my photographs is true. The bottom was cut and polished. It shows quite a bit of shelf wear, as you would expect to find on any glass made before 1953. Overall condition is excellent.
