CF Monroe Signed Wave Crest Opaline Glass Hinged Lid Jewelry Casket

This fabulous Opaline glass box was made by the CF Monroe Glass company. This is from their Wave Crest line. The bottom is clearly marked on this piece. The white Opaline glass has raised areas that sort of form a seashell and the box is hand-painted with tiny little blue flowers and little white dots that were done in a Moriage technique. Decorative brass findings are hinged to join the bottom and the top of the box together. The bottom and the top fit perfectly and it closes snugly. This measures approximately 3 inches round and 2 3/4 inches tall. This would be a welcome addition to the most fabulous of dressing tables. Condition is extremely fine.
