19th Century Opaline Glass Scent Bottle Ornately Hand Painted

Now this is a beauty! This is a blown Opaline glass scent or perfume bottle. It has a ground stopper that is original to the bottle and it is in very good condition and fits snugly. Measuring across the center of the bottom it is 2 3/4 inches wide. When the ground stopper is in place the total height is 7 1/2 inches. The most amazing thing about this bottle is that it is painted in the most intricate and tiny flower design, and that remains in pretty good condition still today. The top of the stopper is also hand-painted and it too still remains in pretty good condition. Normally, after all of these years, these bottles show little or no sign of the original decoration. There is quite a bit of shelf wear to the bottom, just as you would expect to find. Overall condition is excellent on this superb Opaline glass bottle.
